This training is right for you if you would like to gain a better understanding of how to work with birthing persons during the perinatal and postpartum periods. After taking this training, participants will be able to:

(1) Determine how the research informs working with birthing persons during the perinatal and postpartum periods. 

(2) Decipher at least 3 intervention strategies in addressing the needs of perinatal and postpartum birthing persons.

(3) Obtain a greater understanding of the systemic marginalization of birthing persons that exist for LGBTQIA+/BIPOC persons/those with acquired and chronic physical and intellectual disabilities/other oppressed groups.

This program meets the requirements of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) and is approved for 3 CE credits and is considered synchronous learning if in attendance to the live webinar. Participants will be expected to complete a post webinar quiz as part of the completion of the 3 AASECT CE's. These CE credits may be applied toward AASECT certification and renewal of certification through the Sexuality Training Institute.
