Presented by Robin Wilson- Beattie, B.A.

When: Asynchronous Recorded Webinar

Cost: $49 for training (1 AASECT CEUs available)

This webinar is for you if you work with gender diverse children and adolescents. This webinar emphasizes the importance of a sex positive perspective and what this looks like and the approaches that work best for children and adolescents who identify along the gender diverse spectrum.

As a traditionally underserved population that faces numerous sexual health disparities, youth who identify as transgender and gender diverse (TGD) and their families are increasingly asking for education, care, and referrals. The need for more formal training, standardized treatment, and research on sexual and reproductive safety and medical outcomes often leaves educators, counselors and therapists feeling ill equipped to support and care for patients and consumers who identify as TGD and families. The primary objectives of this workshop are to:

  • State and review relevant sexual health and reproductive concepts and challenges TGD clients and family face

  • Provide suggestions for sexuality professionals that are focused on promoting the health and positive development of youth that identify as TGD while eliminating discrimination and stigma.

This program meets the requirements of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) and is approved for 1 CE credits and is considered synchronous learning if in attendance to the live webinar. Participants will be expected to complete a post webinar assignment as part of the completion of the 1 AASECT CE's. These CE credits may be applied toward AASECT certification and renewal of certification through the Sexuality Training Institute. Completion of this program does not ensure or guarantee AASECT Certification. For further information please contact
