Presenter: Jane Fleishman, Ph.D.
When: Friday July 16, 2021 12:30pm-3:30pm EST (live and recorded)
While sex at an older age exists, the human body doesn’t function the same way it did when we were younger. Questions about painful penetration, hormonal changes, and erection dysfunction are explained in this honest look at sex over 60. With frank discussion, Dr. Fleishman will cover the biological, medical, and psychosocial parts of getting physical.
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
1. Define overall three (3) diagnoses of sexual health concerns of aging populations,
2. Discuss assessments in changes to blood flow, nerve function, hormonal shifts, and the pelvic floor in aging populations, and
3. Apply one (1) aspect of treatment of sexual health challenges of aging populations to their practice.
This program meets the requirements of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) and is approved for 2 CE credits and is considered synchronous learning if in attendance to the live webinar. Participants will be expected to complete a post webinar assignment as part of the completion of the 2 AASECT CE's. These CE credits may be applied toward AASECT certification and renewal of certification through the Sexuality Training Institute.
